How far did the relaxation spread into your body? Now continue to with opening and closing your eyes until you have it down to your feet. There is no need to count, just the inhaling and exhaling. Just keep doing this, and when you have it in your entire body you can carry on reading

Excellent, that feels good, doesn't it? Now, since you are very relaxed, just how relaxed are your legs? You are pretty focused and aware of things. So you know that if you keep the relaxation in your legs, like it is right now you won't be able to lift them. Go ahead and attempt to move your legs while they are nice and relaxed. notice that after trying for a couple of seconds, and noticing you cannot lift your legs, you relax even more when you stop trying.
Now, the next request will be with your eyes open. I would like you to start counting down from 100, if possible out loud, and with every decreasing number the numbers become smaller and less important and more distant. At some point in time you may find you skip a number as you allow them to grow smaller and less important. The smaller and unimportant they get, the more likely they are to disappear. Do not try to hang on to them, just allow them to disappear. You will notice you may say them quieter and quieter the more distant they become. Just take your time, and when the numbers are gone you can continue reading.
